Trip Summary As we headed toward the snowbird land of Arizona, we already had a good idea of what to expect. Several friends had preceded us to this part of the country and brought back stories of their adventures. I had also read many stories about the "Quartzsite experience." Still with all that, I have to say that a person must make the trek to Quartzsite to find out how it really feels. My senses were filled up just by the scope of the gathering of more RVs than I've ever seen in one place. I saw things at the gathering that I've never seen at any other time in my life. I really enjoyed our short visit with our winter escapee friends in Parker. It was so nice to be with our group of RV club friends at their homes in the desert. The side trip to Yuma, Arizona and Algodones, Mexico was very interesting. It seemed a bit strange to be able to walk from the United States into Mexico. It was very nice to be with Tom and Nora on our first trip to Quartzsite. Having them to share their experiences from previous trips made it a lot easier to deal with the crowded situation. They made great desert guides. I am looking forward to returning to Quartzsite in the future. [BEGIN] If you have comments or suggestions, please contact the . Copyright 2001, RVFunTrips.com.
