Tuesday, 11-25-97

It seems as if we are getting accustomed to this time zone faster than in past trips. We slept in again this morning. It was about 10:30 before we were ready to take on the day. It took us a while to get going. We finally went over to see George and Lois. By the time we arrived at their house, we all decided we should have an early lunch. So we went to Willie C’s for our midday meal. I had my usual order of a grilled tuna steak sandwich.

Jim wanted to show all of us the changes that have taken place in downtown Wichita. So we all went for a ride around town. The Hyatt Regency Hotel was under construction when we were here last spring, but it is finished now.

We walked around the fancy waterfall system that was built in front of the hotel. I took several pictures of the waterfalls, some of which were very long.

From there, Jim drove us around Old Town for a while, then we went back to George and Lois’ place.

In the evening Kay and I went over to my mother’s place for a visit with her and Lana. I took the RV club photo albums with us. We showed my mother and sister the pictures taken at our monthly RV club outings.
