This trip would start with me driving the longest leg of any road trip I've taken in the past. I would drive from California to see my sister and her family living near Chicago. I had a great time with my sister and her family.

From seeing my sister I drove to my home town of Wichita — while on my way to Colorado Springs — to visit with my brother-in-law and his family. While there I would make preparations to attend a high school reunion where my late-wife and I both graduated. While in Wichita I visited North High once again to collect images of the school's unique architecture.

When I reached Colorado Springs I went to work at a friend's company for what was left of the week. While in The 'Springs I attended two churches and found one that is very much like the church where my son and his family goes in California. Preparation was made by my travel companion for us to go to Las Vegas for a very special weekend that included an awesome experience of becoming weightless.

Shortly after our trip to Las Vegas I went back to Wichita to attend a 50th year reunion of the Class of 1959. I went to this reunion to find friends I had in this class while I was on my way to graduation with the Class of 1960. I had a good time seeing my classmates from 50 years ago and one very special woman that I met for the first time.

After the reunion I returned to Colorado Springs to finish my project for a friend's company. With that done I headed for home taking a route that would give me the opportunity to see country new to me. This would be the first trip I've taken where I would fly to a place during my trip. Also, this was the first time that one of my trip adventures would take place after I had arrived at home.

The last adventure was a trip to Nashville to attend a very special benefit concert hosted by Keith Urban. I would take this leg of my trip with another traveling companion. The Nashville trip turned out to be so important to me that I've decided to write the story about "Music City" as a stand-alone story. This trip actually topped the weightless experience and became an important milestone in my life.

All in all, this was a very special trek that consisted of several highlights that I will always treasure in my memory of another of my RV Fun Trips.
