We had a quick turn around from our crab fishing trip. There was only one, very busy night at home before we were out on the road beginning another adventure. This trip would be the first time I towed our car. I was somewhat concerned about my first towing experience being on such a long trip.

I wasn't too concerned about something going wrong while hooking up our car. If I had any serious problems, I figured that Tom and Nora would have their car. Our first stop on our trip was to be connect up with Tom and Nora out on I-5 in the Central Valley.

Our route would take us through the Southwest along part of the Historic Route 66 and to the hometown of a good friend. Our foursome had a fun time shopping in a small Oklahoma town before heading to Wichita, Kansas. There we would meet up with more good friends when we rendezvoused with Tina and Kevin in Wichita. So, come along with us on our trek across part of Western America to the Great Plains.
